unlikely for good. >> the fall off for a anne arundel county executive john leopold takes a new term. george joins us live from the news room. the judge to not miss any work today, telling john leopold what he thought of his actions. >> the judge called his conduct simply outrageous, agreed just and while they beyond any authority he possessed by virtue of his office. there are plans to kick him out for good. john leopold did not have much to say shortly after a judge convicted him on two counts of misconduct in office charges. >> it is been our position from the outset that contract complaints represented in court judgment as opposed to a criminal conduct. >> he was acquitted of another misconduct charge and a fraud charge i couldn't put him in jail.

the judge called his actions of wages and reaches. john leopold was convicted for using his taxpayer funded protective detail for reelection campaign duties and forcing county employees to do personal choice, namely making them empty his urine from a catheter bag he had after it back surgery. >> when you seek an indictment, obviously you are seeking a conviction on all counts. those were two major counts within the indictment. >> several of john leopold's former employees came forward about his conduct and were in the courtroom for the trial verdict. >> there is a lot of depth to this. a lot of people have been hurt. it was frightening to come forward. >> by law john leopold must be suspended because he is elected official found guilty in a criminal case. the county council will introduce a measure that could force him out permanently with a

vote on the measure next week. >> ideal for the residents of the county jury -- i feel for the residents of the county. >> the county council can get five out of seven counts of votes, the office will be vacated. in council will appoint a new county executive possibly with in the next several weeks. in the meantime, john hammond is the acting county executive. >> thank you. in the michael johnson murder trial, jurors heard the taped statement that he gave to police days after 16-year-old phylicia barnes went missing. he said he last saw her sleeping on a sofa and had no clue as to what happened to her. johnson is accused of murdering phylicia barnes. her body was found four months later in the susquehanna river. >> ravens and players from the

around 4:00 tuesday morning. >> this set of surveillance on the vehicle -- and they set up surveillance on the vehicle. >> the suspect crashed and had to be cut out of the vehicle and transported to shock trauma with critical injuries. under the driver's seat was a loaded firearm. and in the rear, a duffel bag contained 27 additional firearms. if we have not done this could work, these guns would have resulted in taking young lives on the streets of baltimore. but we have taken them off. >> the two men are been treated for injuries at shock trauma. are told they are in serious condition. police said it also found cocaine in the suspect vehicle.

>> we are following some breaking news out of harford county were deputies say a mother has killed her nine month old daughter. around 1:30 deputies responded to a home in joppa for a report of trout in the cardiac arrest. she died later at a hospital. the child's mother, 19, tried to take her own life by slashing her arrest. she faces several charges, including first-degree murder. >> cashing in on the superbowl of the end of it with the benefits others. hat benefitstgha others.
